I've had at least 5 or 6 of these taken away from me while going through airport security. But not anymore. Starting April 25th, TSA will allow small knives, souvenir baseball bats, golf clubs and other sports equipment such as hockey sticks onto planes due to a policy change, allowing TSA to concentrate its energies on more serious safety threats.
Unions representing flight attendants and other airline workers don't agree with the new policy though. They say it's designed to make "the lives of TSA staff easier, but doesn't make flights safer."
