The body of an avalanche victim was brought down -- from Big Cottonwood Canyon -- early Friday morning.
Craig Patterson, 34, was killed Thursday, while working as an avalanche forecaster for the Utah Department of Transportation.
Relatives reported him missing, when he failed to return home on time.
The victim was located from a search helicopter, and taken off the mountain by snowmobile.
Patterson had worked for UDOT since 2006 and was considered an expert backcountry skier.
